आज भारत में छात्र होने का क्या मतलब है? इस एपिसोड में, मैं इंदौर में हुए 'छात्रों की गूंज' कार्यक्रम से जुड़ी अपनी बातें और अनुभव साझा कर रहा हूँ।

मैं कई ऐसे छात्रों से मिला जिन्होंने अपनी परेशानियाँ बताईं - जैसे रुकी हुई सरकारी भर्तियाँ, एक नर्सिंग छात्रा जिसे छह साल बाद भी डिग्री नहीं मिली है, PhD स्कॉलर्स जो देर से मिलने वाले स्टाइपेंड के कारण संघर्ष कर रहे हैं, और वो परिवार जिन्होंने दिल्ली में एक इमारत गिरने की घटना में अपने बच्चे खो दिए। ये सभी मुद्दे राजनीति, व्यापार और संस्थानों में सत्ता के केंद्रीकरण वाले "सिस्टम" से जुड़े हैं।

मैं छात्रों से जुड़ी खूबियों जैसे जिज्ञासा, ईमानदारी, विनम्रता और निडरता की तुलना "अंधभक्त" की विपरीत मानसिकता से करता हूँ, और सभी युवाओं के लिए उम्मीद का संदेश के साथ अपनी बात खत्म करता हूँ।

What does it mean to be a student in India today? In this episode, I share reflections from Chhatron Ki Goonj in Indore.I met several students who recounted their issues — stalled government recruitments, a nursing student still without her degree six years in, PhD scholars struggling on delayed stipends, families who lost children in a building collapse in Delhi. All of these issues are connected to the "system" of concentrated power in politics, business, and institutions.I contrast the qualities associated with students — curiosity, honesty, humility, fearlessness — against the "andhbhakt" mindset, and close with a message of hope for young listeners.#ChhatronKiGoonj

‘छात्रों की गूंज’ में हुए हालिया संवाद - “Break the Cage” - को फिर से बयान करता है।

यह कोई भाषण नहीं, बल्कि एक सोचने का तरीका है - खुद के बारे में सोचने, अपनी बात खुलकर कहने और अपनी आवाज़ खुद बनने का।

बात उन छोटी-बड़ी दीवारों की, जिनमें महिलाओं को बेटी, पत्नी और माँ जैसी तय भूमिकाओं तक सीमित कर दिया जाता है। बात उस control की, जो हिंसा से, अपमान से और यहाँ तक कि उनके समय पर भी हक़ जता कर कायम रखा जाता है। लड़ाई किसी कानून या घटना के खिलाफ नहीं इस मनुवादी सोच के ख़िलाफ़ है।

इस एपिसोड का संदेश बिल्कुल साफ़ है - खुलकर बोलो, खुद पर गर्व करो और अपने अधिकारों के लिए लड़ो।

This episode revisits a recent talk delivered at the Chhatron Ki Goonj Pune edition — “Break the Cage” — to the largest gathering of women from across the country.

Rather than a lecture, it was meant as a framework: a way to think, express and speak for yourself.

The episode explores three ideas — how women get boxed into narrow identities of daughter, wife and mother, how control operates through violence, disrespect and time and why the real fight isn’t about one law or incident, but a mindset.

It concludes with a call to action: be loud, be proud and claim your space.
