    In October 2020, 23-year-old Marisela Botello traveled from Seattle to Dallas to visit a friend. After a night out in Deep Ellum, she vanished[citation:5]. Her remains were found months later in a remote field[citation:1]. The investigation exposed a twisted love triangle involving Lisa Dykes, her wife Nina Marano, and rapper Charles Beltran. Prosecutors said Dykes stabbed Botello in a jealous rage after finding her in bed with Beltran[citation:9]. The killers disposed of her body and later fled to Cambodia, cutting off their ankle monitors[citation:2]. Dykes was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison[citation:5].
