The Yankees just can't hit, it's as simple as that, and even ever-optimistic manager Aaron Boone is reaching his boiling point watching the never-ending misery that is the Yankees offense.

Sal Maiorana and Mike Lindsley come in hot after watching the Yankees score in just three of 23 innings and go 4-for-31 with runners in scoring position across the last two extra-inning losses to the White Sox. This is about as bad as it gets, and if the Yankees don't acquire reinforcements at the trade deadline, it's hard to see them coming out of this offensive malaise that has lingered for nearly six weeks.
