    Steve Watson (he/him) has spent his career in urban public education and Christian pastoral ministry. For the past 13 years, he has been the senior pastor of Reservoir Church, a multi-racial, post-evangelical church in Greater Boston. Steve is also active as a leader in interfaith community organizing for public justice and as a singer of Renaissance music. He has a B.A. in music from Brandeis University, a Masters in Education from UMASS-Boston, and a Doctorate in Theology and Ministry from Northwind Seminary. His recently published book All Flesh Shalom explores how open and relational and postcolonial theologies can facilitate larger, freer, more loving readings of the good news of Jesus.     Rev. Dr. Elle Dowd’s Bio: Elle Dowd (she/they) is an author, activist, and pastor. She recently received her PhD in Queer Theology from the Chicago Theological Seminary, and is an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Elle has pieces of their heart in Sierra Leone, where their two children were born, and in St. Louis where they learned from the radical, queer, Black leadership during the Ferguson Uprising. She was formerly a co-conspirator with the movement to #decolonizeLutheranism and served as a board member of the Euro-Descent Lutheran Association for Racial Justice, does outreach for an environmental justice organization known as Faith in Place, does community organizing in her city as a board member of SOUL, served on the Clergy Advocacy Board for Planned Parenthood, and facilitates workshops in both secular conferences and Christian spaces. In 2021 she published a book with Broadleaf, Baptized in Teargas, about her conversion from a white moderate to an abolitionist during the Ferguson Uprising.

    Sarah Quint (she/her) is a former pastor and church planter. She now spends her days serving her Tribe, the Mattaponi of Virginia, as their Director of Housing. Sarah has been returning to the Red Road in efforts to decolonize and contextualize the Way of Jesus. These efforts have deepened her connections to place and family and led to crafting songs in her traditional language, authorship, and oral storytelling. As Sarah settles into the fullness found within the 7 directions, she is passionate about inviting those who are estranged along the way.

    Born and raised in India, Fr. Joash P. Thomas served as a U.S. political consultant and lobbyist before pivoting to global human rights advocacy. Now based in the Toronto area, he holds a master’s degree in Political Management from The George Washington University and holds two master’s degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary in Christian Leadership and Theology. An ordained Priest in the Diocese of St. Anthony, Fr. Joash is also the author of the widely-read book, The Justice of Jesus. He also serves as Instructor in Public Theology, Peace & Justice at St. Stephen’s University (Canada).

    Dr. Greg Garrett is the author of 30 books of fiction, nonfiction, and spiritual autobiography. He is the Carole McDaniel Hanks Professor of Literature and Culture at Baylor University, and the Canon Theologian at the American Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Paris, France. Greg is a seminary-trained lay preacher in the Episcopal Church who has preached across the United States and Europe, has offered the gathering sermon for the Academy of Homiletics, and has appeared on the national preaching show, Day One. He lives with his wife Jeanie and daughters Lily and Sophia in Austin, Texas, where he is a member of the historically Black St. James Episcopal Church, who taught him to preach justice and reconciliation.

    From stage to pulpit, Mia looks for ways to integrate the diversity of her interests, passions and callings for the sake of life and liberation. A licensed Baptist minister and ordained in the United Church of Christ, Mia currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Riverside Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. where she is the first African American and first woman to serve in the role in the church’s history. She holds degrees from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York, New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and Syracuse University. Above all this, she is a daughter, an aunt, a sister, a niece, a friend, and the proud dog mom of Harrison Claiborne McClain.
