This week on Portland Culture Club, we’re joined by Portland artist and creative force Mike Bennett of Mike Bennett Studios! Mike takes us inside his wonderfully colorful world — from what first sparked his iconic cutouts and immersive spaces to his love of cryptids, dinosaurs, ’90s nostalgia, and (of course) animals!

We get the DL on Mike’s favorite horror VHS and what inspired him to create Dead Media Video Rentals, his ultra-spooky (but not-so-scary!) FREE haunted house experience. Plus, we swap some prime tips for maximizing movie-theater snacking just in time for spooky season! Stick around til the end — Mike shares an exclusive announcement about an exciting new project coming soon!

This week on Portland Culture Club we’ve got creator, cermacist, and self-proclaimed doodler Emo Jugs in the studio! We’re soaking up the final dog days of summer, reflecting on the massive cost of doggy lipo, and why Joey is now a certified crystal king. Plus, we dig into the history of face jugs, how Emo-Jugs got its namesake (less Black Parade, more emojis!), and the all-important question — how to name your jugs!

This week on Portland Culture Club, we’re joined by the hilariously talented team behind the Smoke Break Podcast — that’s right, it’s a crossover episode!

Come have a relax with us as we talk about the intersection of mental health and comedy, the power of sharing our stories, and how laughter can help make difficult conversations feel a little less sucky. We also debrief the Lloyd Center closing day chaos, whether recycling is truly a myth, and Zane’s love of pulled pork sandwiches!
