North Carolina defeats No. 25 Pittsburgh 21-17 in a thrilling upset, handing coach Bill Belichick his first win against a ranked team. Holden Geriner threw for 219 yards but committed two critical interceptions, while Damon Ferguson Jr. was limited to 49 rushing yards. Billy Edwards Jr. led the Tar Heels with 249 passing yards and two touchdowns, including a 75-yard strike to Shamar Easter.

Key performances included Cruce Brookins with 11 tackles for Pitt and Alex Sanford Jr. with a sack. For UNC, Jordan Shipp caught six passes for 93 yards and Derek McDonald recorded 12 tackles.
