This is it! The start of our adventure together.

Welcome to Only As Lonely.

Hear about my back story, which might feel familiar to you, and join me as we escape and head to New York on the beginning of this adventure. I'm reliving it but this time I'm not alone, because you're with me.

It's episode 2. My first full day in New York and it's not long before I make an idiot of myself.

I see iconic buildings, polar bears, I make friends and I also bump into a fellow Brit. Not the warm interaction I was expecting to be honest with you.

I end the day with ticking something off of the bucket list.

It's September 11th, there's only one place I have to go to today.

A real mix of emotions today for me. From Ground Zero to an upsetting sight at an exhibition, to the funny experience at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, my run in the WTF guy and finding a special jazz bar.

I'm still in New York. I'm filling my time on a photography mission and seeking inspiration everywhere.

Today I encounter a march, I become quite the art critic and later when I start to feel lonely I pathetically try to channel my inner Hugh Grant and fail miserably.

Today I find a piece of television history!

I go on a long boat tour, meet a superhero, have a business offer as a broker for the leather jacket industry, discover a hive of musical activity and perform one of my songs in New York.

My last full day in New York.

I contacted home, I lost myself.... and got lost (of course) in Central Park. The Top of The Rock provided a nirvana moment with Richard Ashcroft.

Quite a reflective day today, well, apart from the bit with the Irish man in his underpants!

From New York to New Zealand

Today I say goodbye to New York, make a friend on the plane, end up in a contentious love triangle and have an unexpected visitor while I sleep. It was a loooooooong day, in fact, I actually skipped a day!

I'm now in New Zealand. I collect my Van, I get caught as a hostage by my own bodily fluids and I find a camp site hoping to not be attacked by crazy hedonistic hippies but it's not all as calm as it may first appear.
