In this profound treatise, often seen alongside the Contra Gentes, Athanasius delves into the necessity of restoration through the Divine Word, addressing the corruption of human nature. Written in the early years of his life, this work remains untouched by the Arian controversy that later defined his career. Athanasius begins by examining the doctrine of creation and humanitys unique place within it, highlighting how mans abuse of his privileges led to a devastating loss. In a powerful narrative, he describes the Incarnation as the ultimate remedy for humanitys plight, emphasizing how the Divine Word took on flesh to make the invisible God accessible. He articulates the significance of Christs death and resurrection, presenting the Cross as a symbol of victory over shame and death. Through the lens of the Incarnation, Athanasius reveals the transformative power of Christs triumph, illustrating how it reshapes our understanding of life and death.Copyright Religious Texts and Commentary Catechesi ed evangelismo Cristianesimo Filosofia Scienze sociali Spiritualità
