  • The Power of Leading by Example | Bree Bryant on Safety, Trust & Leadership in Trucking
    Oct 27 2026

Some of the strongest leaders I know are the ones who don't need to be the loudest person in the room. They lead by example, listen to their people, and genuinely care about making a difference. Bree Bryant is one of those leaders.

In this episode of On the Front Line, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Bree, Vice President of Safety at Eagle Transport Corporation and the newly appointed Chairwoman of the North Carolina Trucking Association. Bree has spent more than 20 years with Eagle Transport, building a career rooted in hard work, relationships, and a commitment to doing what's right.

We talked about her leadership journey, the importance of listening to drivers, and why building a strong safety culture starts with trust and making sure people understand the "why" behind what we do. What I admire most about Bree is her humility. She doesn't lead for recognition. She leads because she cares about her people, her company, and the trucking industry. She understands that great leadership isn't about having all the answers. It's about being willing to learn, showing up for others, and making sure people feel valued.

I was also incredibly proud to recognize Bree with the On the Front Line Pelican Award for the impact she continues to make through her leadership and service to others.

Bree is a wonderful example of what it means to lead on the front line, and I hope you enjoy our conversation as much as I did.

  • Safety Is a Culture, Not a Department: On the Front Line Scott Reynolds
    Sep 29 2026

What does a strong safety culture really look like?

On this episode of On the Front Line, I talk with Scott Reynolds about something he believes strongly: safety can’t just live inside the safety department. It has to be part of the culture. Scott has spent his career in transportation safety, and one thing he’s learned is that you can have all the right policies, technology, training, and procedures—but they only work when your people believe in them.

One thing Scott said really stood out to me: to be a good safety leader, you have to have the heart of a teacher. It’s easy to get caught up in spreadsheets, numbers, reports, and technology. But as Scott reminds us, behind every number is a person: a driver with a family depending on them to make it home safely.

We talk about identifying risk before it becomes an incident, giving drivers the tools to make good decisions, recognizing people when they do things right, and why Safety, Operations, and Maintenance need to work together instead of against each other.

Because safety isn’t about catching people doing something wrong. It’s about teaching, listening, recognizing risk, and helping people make better decisions. And that’s how you

    build a culture people actually want to be part of.#OnTheFrontLine #Trucking #SafetyCulture #TruckingSafety #SafetyLeadership #Transportation #Leadership #FleetSafety

She also shares she hopes to be the kind of leader who advocates for people, asks the right questions, and isn’t afraid to challenge the way things have always been done.

  • Ben Fiore Connects the Next Generation Through Boy Scouts of America
    Apr 21 2026

On this special edition of On the Front Line: The Safety, Learning & Operations Podcast, Dr. Gina Anderson, speaks with Ben Fiore, Terminal Manager at Eagle Transport Corporation in Tampa, Florida.

Ben leads a fleet responsible for the safe and timely delivery of petroleum products. In an industry where precision, trust, and communication are critical, his work keeps operations running smoothly every day.

But his impact goes beyond the terminal.

As a lifelong Scout and honoree recognized by the National Tank Truck Carriers, Ben saw a gap between the trucking industry and the next generation. Instead of waiting for change, he created it.

Through the Truck Transportation Merit Badge Academy with the Boy Scouts of America, Ben has introduced more than 100 Scouts to careers in the fuel and trucking industry. By bringing real trucks and professional drivers into the experience, he gives young people a hands-on look at the work that keeps the country moving.

His leadership is grounded in a simple belief: the world moves forward because of people who do the right thing, even when no one is watching.

If you care about leadership, workforce development, safety, and building the future of the trucking industry, this conversation is worth your time.
