Spencer and Cameron are going back to 2011 but with the 2024 Remastered version, of Shadows of the Damned. The Japanese super group of Suda 51 (No More Heroes and Lollipop Chainsaw), Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil and Devil May Cry), and music by Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill and Snatcher). Bringing together an action survival horror game that plays out like if Robert Rodriguez made an Evil Dead film. It action packed, crazy violent, with great attitude era humor and the perfect to the point storyline of Garcia Hotspur going into hell to save his girlfriend, Paula from the Lord of Demons, Fleming.

Games really don't get better than this. Sadly, it wasn't a money maker for EA's experiment here in the Xbox 360 and PS3 era, so there never was a sequel. But at least giving it a remaster has put some new life into the adventure, and they fixed the one thing I was bummed that was missing in the original version. A full-on New Game Plus, where all your stats and points carry over. Making it have the full Resident Evil like experience of grand replay.

Spencer and Cameron are talking all about the new Silent Hill game of Townfall. The experimental spin off that takes the gameplay into a first-person style, with a light pseudo-VR feel, but sadly without actual VR implication. Still, it's an interesting game premise, with a great story, intriguing characters, and fantastic puzzles throughout. The game does drop the ball a bit on some of the combat and the annoying one hit kill creature of the "Weight." Which it really should be called the Wait, cause sure doesn't mind hanging out in the same spot for a good long while. So, prepare for a bit of that hide and sneak style gameplay, that I know can sometimes be the make or break for different folks. But at least that is only a couple sections of the game.

But at least the journey is still worth it, and it is an interesting test of changing up the combat heavy games of past Silent Hills. If you are a fan of the series or genre, you will most likely dig the majority of the game. We especially think that after how much SH F raised the bar on horror games in general, it's kind of hard to compete with that one you are trying something different. But the game is worth the ride still and only makes us more excited for what Konami is bringing out next.

Let us know your thoughts on the game, survival horror titles, and what we should play next. Though it is a bummer that this game isn't on Xbox and Switch 2. And since it's a PlayStation console exclusive it really should have been made for the VR 2. Just saying. That unit could use some more games now.

This time Wes and Spencer are talking about the Conan the Barbarian sequel of Destroyer! A film that changes tones but I believe still works out really fantastic but in a whole different way. If Barbarian was like the old books, Destroyer is more like the Marvel Comics version of the Adventurer. And in this new film, Arnold is joined by a party of all types of different skilled heroes. Like in a Dungeons and Dragons, or Diablo style adventure. There's a lot of good dark fantasy elements, excellent sets, and still a bunch of violent carnage, even if at times just a tad goofy.

So, join us for more high adventure!
