The Oilers dressed an 11/7 lineup without Leon Draisaitl and Kasperi Kapanen, and spent much of the game undermanned after Vasily Podkolzin picked up 17 penalty minutes following his fight with Johnathan Kovacevic. It was a perfect weekend in Oil Country, and Tyler and Liam are here to break it all down on a brand new episode of Oilersnation Everyday. The Edmonton Oilers delivered back-to-back shutout victories, starting with a dominant 6–0 win in Vancouver on Saturday night.

Tristan Jarry was flawless in that one, stopping all 31 shots he faced as the Oilers rolled to one of their most complete performances of the season. The Edmonton Oilers were shut out for the first time in a while, falling 1–0 to the New York Islanders on Tuesday night, and Tyler and Liam are here to break it all down on a fresh episode of Oilersnation Everyday.

It was a true goaltender’s duel, as Ilya Sorokin stood on his head for the Islanders, stopping all 35 shots he faced to earn the shutout. On the other end, Connor Ingram was excellent as well, finishing the night with a .944 save percentage and giving the Oilers every chance to win. Unfortunately for Edmonton, the lone goal of the game came on an Islanders power play, which proved to be the difference.
