Welcome to the last podcast of 2025. It’s crazy to think 2025is almost over.

In this episode I am joined by Chris Mussell who is a scoutleader and archer, where we have a long conversation about the role archery has in the scouting organisation in the UK. Discussing not just coaching scouts of all ages in archery in all forms from soft archery to shooting a simple field course, but also what is involved with training the scout leaders in the what’s required to run a session for scouts.

It provides a really good insight into how the scoutingorganisation plans, runs and controls the rules of shooting for scouts and leaders.

Of course we do tangent at times into other archery relatedtopics as we have known each other for several years.

In this very special episode, I am delighted to host areturning guest Kristina Dolgilevica return.

Those of you who have been listening to the podcast for a few years might remember Kristina’s first guest slot back in episode 80. Then she had only just taken on the role of Editor for Bow International magazine.Now a couple of years on we discuss her success in celebrating Bow Internationals 30th birthday.

We also discuss at length a new various coaching aspect andher new initiative surrounding the World Traditional Archery Federation and the formation of the UK Traditional Archers' International Association (UK-TAIA), contact detail of which are below.

We chat about her hopes and aspirations for UK-TAIA inpromoting not just competition but also the cultural heritages of the differing forms of traditional archery across the globe. The goal being to promote the association and the potential it has for highlighting the potential for engagement across countries and continents.
