October Falls is a gothic horror anthology podcast — a place where the fog never quite lifts and the past never stays buried. Each season tells a complete, standalone story, set in its own town, its own era, its own particular flavor of dread, but every one shares the same slow-burning, character-first approach to horror: real people, real relationships, and the patient, creeping sense that something has always been just slightly wrong. Season One, "Dead End on Wexler Street," follows nine-year-old Nathaniel Thorne through one unforgettable autumn in 1968 Cedar Hollow, Pennsylvania.Philip James Arte Storia e critica della letteratura

Fall, 1968. Everybody who dies leaves something behind. So why is there nothing of Nathaniel’s grandfather anywhere in the Thorne house?

Eli warns him to be careful, but Nathaniel climbs into the attic anyway. Under the far eave he finds a locked trunk and a bundle of letters that were never sent, written in a careful, old-fashioned hand about a bargain struck in a churchyard long ago. As he reads, the attic grows colder, and behind him, in the dark, a page begins to turn.

    Oct 16 2026

Fall, 1968. A teacher finds Nathaniel behind the toolshed, talking to no one at all, and for the first time he has to lie to protect his friend.

Then Eli disappears for three days. When he comes back, a name rises out of him like a word left over from a dream, and frost forms in a ring at noon. Many miles from Cedar Hollow, an old man sits by a window, writing the same two words over and over until the pencil tears through the page.

  • Episode 3: His Father's Silence
    Oct 14 2026

Fall, 1968. Nathaniel Thorne has started asking about the grandfather no one will name, and his father’s silence says more than any answer could.

An old photograph turns up with a face that won’t stay in the past. A neighbor leans in with one question too many. And in the churchyard, a man stands with his shadow falling the wrong way. He doesn’t turn around until he knows he’s being watched.
