Shock and awe (technically known as rapid dominance) is a tactic based on the use of overwhelming power and spectacular displays of force to paralyze the enemy’s perception of the battlefield and destroy their will to fight. (Wikipedia)

God loves to shock and awe the enemy. The greatest example of this is the Resurrection. “He cancelled out every legal violation!” (Col. 2:13-14). He made a public spectacle of the enemy!

Episode 29: Out with the Trash!

ABOUT THE EPISODE

Transitioning into a new season is an interesting process. If we are not careful, we will carry obsolete junk from the past into our new place of occupation.

God is up to something. It’s a new thing. It requires fresh perspectives, free of the filters of past expectations. He wants our focused attention. Oftentimes, the old treasures become distractions as we enter into the new.

There is a process called separation unto increase. The premise is once we separate from the old, we are free to increase into the new. A seed has to fall into the ground and die before life can come forth. Jesus lived and died. His increase through His resurrection is realized by us today.

We are in a global course correction. God is using the shifts in our society and homes to move us into maturity. This maturation process requires a separation from the old. We see this in our children – from womb to birth, and age to age of growth. He is doing the same with us today.

What is occupying your time? Are you holding onto things from the past? Are your expectations in line with what God is doing now? Do you shuffle old trinkets, papers, cassettes, etc. from one place to another? Do you enjoy that they are in your possession? Do you look at that pile of old stuff and think “I really should deal with that!” yet procrastinate. All these things are time stealers!

Its time to review what we hold onto. Look around. Look within. Are there any things that need to go in the garbage bin?

Episode 27: Reset Part 2

ABOUT THE EPISODE

Can you see beyond where you’ve been and enter into the new “reset” season? Reset defined: “set again or differently” (Oxford). If we are not careful, we may try to hang on to last season’s victories and defeats. If we do, we may not step into the new/“neos”/never existed before things the Lord has for us.

God has reset moments set into His calendar. They are the feasts (Rosh Hashanah, Passover, Tabernacles, etc.) and the head of each Hebrew month. He is a God of opportunities for do-overs! The enemy does not want you to know that. He will try to throw off God’s eternal time gates, known as times and seasons, by interjecting his own agenda. The result is we get stuck out of sync with what Father is doing.

Reset based on what is, not what was, will be fruitful. Don’t hang on to the past, whether its victories or hurts. If we do, we will find ourselves stuck in a time that doesn’t exist anymore. It’s a mere shadow. There is no way to step back into that time and do it over. The past does not exist! You are free to dismiss mental replays of scenarios of conversations that will never happen! Stop using your mental energy on those things and move into what God is doing now in your life.

Sometimes we are called to transition into a new season. Another way to look at this is it is a time of divine reset. In the Oxford Dictionary, reset is defined as “set again or differently”. If we are not careful, we may try to hang on to last season’s victories and defeats and not step into the new/“neos”/never existed before things the Lord has for us.

What do we know about the new? Nothing! It’s new! There is a requirement to leave the past behind and allow God to do a new thing in you.

Episode 25: Discipling Nations

ABOUT THE EPISODE

Mark 16:14-18 paints a bigger picture of the battles that we encounter every day. This passage states that:

• We are called to signs, wonders, and miracles, not a lifeless walk with God.
• Go…preach…
• Believe in My Name…
• cast out demons, speak with new tongues, take up serpents, drink anything deadly, heal the sick.

It is believers’ responsibility to help disciple nations. (Matthew 28:16-20). We can do this as citizens of the Kingdom. In our “dual citizenship” we have the right to disciple citizens of the Kingdom and citizens of our nations. (Col. 1:13; John 18:36, Acts 16:37-8; 22:25; 23:27; 25:10; 26:32). Paul served as an apostle of the Kingdom and he was a Roman citizen, too.

We have a call to bring Christ’s Kingdom to His inherited nations (Ps. 2:6-8)

Ps. 22:27-28 “All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, And all the families of the nations will worship before You. For the kingdom is the LORD’S, And He rules over the nations.”

The nations in eternity; training now for future work (Rev. 22:1-3 “Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him;”)

Ps. 82: 1-8, vs 8 “Arise, O God, judge the earth! For it is You who possesses all the nations.

Episode 23: Stranger Things

ABOUT THE EPISODE

In Mark 16:15-18, we are told to by Jesus, “…if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them…” This has to do stranger things we encounter, such as:

• Corruption is defined as dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery, dishonesty, unscrupulousness, deceit, double-dealing, fraud, etc. The enemies of God have no moral compass and walk in corruption. This most often has to do with business.
• Idolatry is the worship of strange gods. This includes offering sacrifices to demons and forgetting God their creator.
• Mammon is wealth regarded as an evil influence. A false object of worship and devotion. 1 Tim. 6:9-10.

God has a better plan than walking the enemy! He wants us to:

• Walk in our God given power to create wealth.
• Understand that wealth, free from the spirit of mammon is a blessing.
• Use our talents wisely to create profit with trade and return on our investments.

Drinking deadly things has nothing to do with a poisonous drink. There are deadly things that we encounter in our culture every day. We need to be aware of those things and become part of the solution. Are you willing to partner with God to clean it all out?
