In this month’s episode of Da Game Collector, Tristan and Jeff are joined by our third host—Ariel! We kick things off by introducing Ariel and diving into what everyone has been up to, from game pickups to ongoing projects.
- Retro Spotlight: We talk about Flea 2 for the NES and Trominal, a Virtual Boy music cart—both niche but fascinating additions to the collection.
- Modern Gems: Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is finally here, but Jeff has a horror story involving a swelling 3DS battery ruining a touchscreen!
- Tristan’s Mystery Treat: The long-teased package from last episode arrives—what could it be?
- Wooden book covers for Executive Producer-level Patreon supporters—an awesome way to make collector’s editions even more special.
- Exclusive signed limited editions of Metroidvania Chronicles Phases 01 & 02 are now available!
- Big reveal: The Complete Genesis advanced copy is here, and it’s looking incredible.
- Jeff realizes he preordered Ruggnar back in January 2024, only to see it delayed again—now pushed from March to June 2025. It’s just another reminder that delays happen to everyone!
Join us as we dive deep into the latest collector finds, share some industry frustrations, and discuss what’s next in the world of retro and modern gaming!
