You have a small cavity. You think you have two options. Get it drilled and filled, or wait and see if it gets worse. There is actually a third option most people are never told about. It takes a few minutes, you do not get numb, and nothing gets drilled.
In this episode, I'm going to explain the new peptide treatment that can remineralize early cavities without a drill, and how to know if you actually qualify for it.

❓ QUESTIONS ANSWERED
Can a cavity be fixed without drilling?
Yes, if the cavity is still in the enamel and the surface has not broken through, a remineralizing peptide can rebuild the area using minerals already in your saliva. Once a hole has formed through the enamel into the dentin, a filling is still required.
What is the tooth peptide treatment?
It is a liquid applied directly to an early cavity that forms a scaffold inside the damaged area, allowing calcium and phosphate in your saliva to rebuild the tooth structure naturally. It requires no numbing and no drilling and can be applied by a hygienist in a few extra minutes.
How do I know if I am a candidate for this treatment?
Ask your dentist if your cavity is still in the enamel or has already reached the dentin, since only enamel level cavities without a physical hole qualify. If your risk is high or decay is spreading in multiple places, this treatment is not the right plan for you.
