309# The Manson family | from the summer of love to murder — part 1

In 1969, California was supposed to be the land of peace, love and freedom. But in the hills outside Los Angeles, Charles Manson was building a very different kind of family.

In Part 1 of this two-part deep dive, we explore Manson's troubled past, his desperate ambition to become a musician, his connections to the world of rock and roll, and how he drew a group of young followers into his increasingly disturbing world.

From life at Spahn Ranch to the apocalyptic beliefs behind Helter Skelter, we uncover the events that led to the brutal murders of Sharon Tate and her companions, followed by the killings of Leno and Rosemary LaBianca.

Who was Charles Manson? How did he gain such control over his followers? And could the promise of an alternative way of life really descend into something so horrific?

We follow the story through the murders, the investigation and the hunt for answers that would eventually bring the Manson Family into the courtroom.

This is the story of manipulation, obsession and the darkest side of the Summer of Love.

Part 1 of our Manson Family investigation. The story continues in Part 2.

307# Green mountain | The secret underground spaceport

What really lies beneath Green Mountain?

For Episode 307 of Never A Straight Answer, we head to Huntsville, Alabama — a city with deep connections to rockets, military technology and the American space programme. But beneath one nearby mountain lies a story that begins with a very real Cold War plan for an underground military facility… and ends with some of the most extraordinary claims in modern UFO research.

Could the abandoned plans for Green Mountain have developed into something far more secret?

This episode explores claims of an underground spaceport, antigravity technology, mysterious advanced craft, alleged extraterrestrial involvement and the astonishing 2026 allegation that researcher Amy Eskridge — publicly reported dead in 2022 — may actually be alive and working beneath the mountain.

From documented history to extraordinary eyewitness testimony, we separate what is known from what is claimed and ask one simple question:

Is Green Mountain hiding one of the biggest secrets in America?

• The 2026 Amy Eskridge / Green Mountain eyewitness interview
• The original 2026 eyewitness allegations
• The alleged second encounter and “Eighth Force” claims
• The Green Mountain Mystery research page
• The historical Green Mountain community information
• Michael Salla's official Green Mountain article

Listen in, keep an open mind, and as always… there may never be a straight answer
