Neurospicy Dialogues is where curiosity and chaos collide - in the best possible way. Hosts Cara Jean Wilson and Kimberly Jürgen spark impromptu conversations about how gloriously complex our brains really are. It’s unscripted, unapologetic, and seasoned just right - part science, part sass, all real. Tune in for laughter, insight, and the occasional tangent that lands somewhere surprisingly profound.Kimberly Jürgen and Cara Jean Wilson Scienze sociali
  • 150 Octopus
    Oct 5 2026

Kimberly and Cara take on "octopus", starting with Kimberly's hand-drawn octopus (which, she admits, looks more like a jelly). From there it's shapeshifters and the good auntie of the coral reef, the great plural debate (octopi, octopuses or octopodes?), a new organ transplant study that hasn't been peer-reviewed yet, orange peels and mushrooms cleaning up human messes, a phone case so pretty it keeps disappearing and camera glasses that skip the consent conversation. Cara shares the story of a client who traded chameleon survival for octopus energy: the same shapeshifting, with power, intention and play.

Kimberly closes with what she's been thinking about: the Strange New Worlds season 4 finale, and why "be in the moment" lands flat for a neurospicy brain, even when you love the show.

"Stretch out one of your tentacles and get that remote control... But don't throw an appendage at it."

  • 149 Overstimulated
    Sep 28 2026

Cara and Kimberly take "overstimulated" for a spin and find it everywhere: in a dream cut short by an alarm, in single words that hold a whole concept (sonder, aloha, pono) and in an Ancient Greek lesson Kimberly never forgot. "My cup runneth over," her professor taught, translates closer to "my cup is full to the brim". That cup keeps coming back - in the I'm-right-you're-wrong dance, capitalism with no stopping point and trickle-down economics as a (not-so-)funhouse where water runs uphill. Plus streaming "purchases" that turn out to be rentals and a detour into what exactly was in phony baloney.

Cara closes the chat with: present-moment meditation that asks you to notice everything can send a neurospicy brain into overdrive. Her fix is focusing on one thing, like the smell of the coffee, until even the buzz of the lights fades out.

As Kimberly signs off: "May your cup be full".

  • 148 Subspace Anomaly
    Sep 21 2026

Kimberly and Cara Jean take the phrase "subspace anomaly" apart at the roots and let it loose on everything else: a possible missing ninth planet, a two-headed flower from Cara Jean's garden, a full tangent through Yogi Bear and Yogi Berra, and a running list of new "sub-" anomalies to use when things are just a little bit off.

It sharpens when Kimberly reads an article on five supposed ways to spot a liar (she thinks it was the BBC) and finds herself checking off nearly every one of them. The list assumes there's only one correct way to be a person, and her neurospicy brain has never fit that mold. That turns into a bigger case against any rule built for "everyone," childhood dogma included, and closes on a study that flagged neurodivergent honesty as a red flag instead of a strength.

Come for the anomaly wordplay, stay for the Yogiisms.
