A proposito di questo titolo
This week I'm sharing a collection of poetry I wrote during the first locked down in 2020.
It traces a circuit I made near my home in Bristol. It was during that time when we were only allowed out for one hour a day. It's nearly three years on now, but that period is still so fresh in my mind.
This collection isn't necessarily even about the pandemic, but lockdown did offer an opportunity to explore the bits of life that were ordinarily so close but were, somehow, just out of reach.
It's about finding solace in the green spaces and getting to know a tiny patch of earth.
The mound in Bristol was saved because local people protested and campaigned to save it from developers in 1997. It reminds me to engage with my local spaces, they aren't fixed entities.
Thanks to @i_suck_moss for the artwork for this piece. ❤️
