Aired: May 22nd, 1949. Jack declares National Pickle Week in full swing while Mary returns from her cold with a few choice words about the doctor Jack sent her way. When a cab driver wanders into the studio looking for a bigger tip, it sparks a debate about live ad-libbing versus scripted comedy, and Phil Harris insists on proving he's ready for the coming age of television with a golf story only he finds funny. A cozy slice of 1949 studio-audience comedy built on running gags, groan-worthy puns, and Jack's unshakable self-regard.
