Emmanuel The Fourth (the more... naive of the Emmanuel twins) emerged victorious from director Blot’s audition, but he won... the role of the mole in the 1603 version of Hamlet (‘Bad Quarto’).

Now the young man turns up at the theatre for rehearsals, but Blot is accompanied by a rather unusual assistant called Yvonne.

This creates a surreal situation.

This is Emmanuel’s last peaceful – albeit surreal – journey with Gianni. The photographer is showing increasingly obvious (albeit rather comical) signs of mental instability, and it is clear that the situation cannot last much longer.

Emmanuel is aware of this and finds the situation deeply distressing, but, as is typical of his character, he clings tightly to the little things and to the greatest thing of all, which, despite everything, remains: Gianni’s love.

The young man, under the illusion that he might experience a sort of re-enactment of the magical moments at ‘Chalet La Marmotte’, finds himself involved in a high-altitude photo shoot; this time, however, he is not the model: he is merely accompanying Gianni as his driver and assistant.

The photo shoot, however, turns out to be rather surreal...

For Martino's second birthday, Emmanuel gets busy as an author and director and writes the crazy fairy tale of Queen Budina, organising a home performance that also involves Michele and Antonia.

In this episode, we witness the preparations for the play, listen to the fairy tale (Emmanuel plays the parrot Teodoro and other characters), witness Martino's lively reactions, and above all, we hear the child's comments at the end of the show: the little boy is increasingly convinced that 'Unk' Manu' is very stupid.

For Emmanuel, the 'Donald Duck effect' is becoming increasingly apparent.

Michael decides to play a dirty trick on Antonia and shows up at her house with Frédéric, without warning her.

The woman puts on a brave face, but manages to cope with this unexpected turn of events with unexpected serenity, thanks to the balance that her new condition gives her.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel arrives, intending to read a fairy tale to Martino, and finds himself face to face with his old rival.

Emmanuel is reluctantly dragged along by Bruno to visit Dusino San Michele Castle, acting as a real estate agent. On this occasion, he meets the beautiful Simona, who has recently started working with Bruno.

It seems that an immediate attraction develops between the two, even though Emmanuel's heart remains tied to his great love, Gianni.

Having saved most of his saplings, an exhausted Emmanuel takes refuge in the office with Mayra and, overcome with gratitude, kisses her. But Mayra is not used to this kind of affection and takes it rather badly.

Emmanuel, embarrassed and confused, immediately receives a phone call from Gianni, to whom he clumsily attempts to explain what happened, receiving an affectionate scolding in return.

Emmanuel walks among the flowering plants in his nursery with Mayra, to whom he expresses his concerns about Gianni's mental health, as he is showing dangerous signs of instability. Suddenly, a violent hailstorm hits the nursery: the desperate boy does everything he can to save his plants, helped by Mayra.
