The Ms. McBookworm podcast brings you stories from Christian women.

What I envision for this podcast is a place for women who write fiction to share their stories in audio form—and ultimately to tell God's bigger story through our smaller ones.

We're just getting started, so as of right now, the stories are from me.

Each episode of Season One will be a chapter of Sweeter, my first novel. And there will be a wrap-up episode from me at the end like this intro here at the beginning. If you've just stumbled on this, here's a quick summary of what Sweeter is about.

Carole Allen is a widow who has moved to Davidson, Texas, with her young son to start a new life. Charlie North is a widower and long-time resident of Davidson who hasn’t moved past the death of his beloved wife, Honey, five years before. Honey was the children’s pastor at their church, and really the entire church community hasn’t moved past her death either.

So this is a contemporary May-December romance between two characters who both need healing. I wanted it to take a nuanced look at grief and community, and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed writing and recording it.
