Did you know that collard greens, yams, and pork chop dinners were a funding source for the Montgomery Bus Boycott? Mrs. Georgia Gilmore was a cook, entrepreneur, and activist and worked knee-deep with the boycott as one that prepared these dinners.
I would have loved to have interviewed her; to sit and hear her speak would have been something!
