Exodus 2:11–25
Moses grew up between two worlds: raised in Pharaoh’s palace with privilege and power, yet born into a Hebrew family marked by suffering. When he stepped out to see his people’s pain, his two identities collided. One impulsive act changed everything, sending him from royal halls to desert solitude.
In Midian, God continued the hidden work. Through humility and quiet years, Moses learned what Egypt could never teach him — that identity is shaped before assignment. While Moses wrestled with who he was, God heard Israel’s groaning, remembered His covenant, and prepared the next chapter of deliverance.
This devotional reminds us that God uses tension, rejection, and hidden seasons to form leaders. Moses’ identity crisis wasn’t failure. It was formation.
Week 3 of our series: Moses — Deliverer in the Making. A story of identity, calling, and the God who sees, remembers, and prepares.
