In this tender, intimate conversation, Monica sits down with her friend Hannah—a massage therapist and botanical postpartum doula-in-training—to share the full story of welcoming her daughter, Mika, at home.
Together, they reflect on the anticipation of waiting past a due date, the intensity and surrender of labor, the unexpected moments after birth, and the deep trust that carried Monica through it all. They also explore the early postpartum season: body image, nourishment, motherhood, and the profound shift that comes with becoming a mother.
This is one birth story—shared with honesty, care, and the reminder that every path into motherhood is uniquely valid.
