The Panthers closed the regular season in a rain-soaked grinder at Raymond James Stadium, falling 16–14 to the Buccaneers on Saturday. The margin was razor-thin, but the deciding edges showed up in the details: Tampa owned time of possession (37:25), converted 8-of-15 on third down, and Carolina finished with three giveaways (1 INT, 2 lost fumbles).
The big picture didn’t end Saturday night, though. On Sunday, the Panthers officially clinched the NFC South and a home playoff game next weekend via the three-way tiebreaker after Atlanta’s 19–17 win over New Orleans.
