Over the past couple of weeks, we've seen exciting changes like the adoption of a new citizen-to-council committee model. This means your ideas will reach us even faster, and, oh, we now have permanent committees for Disabilities and Animal Welfare - a win for all!

If you're curious about council dynamics, let's just say the June 9th meeting wasn't short on drama! A debate sparked over immigration statements, and new positions on community safety made their way through—though they felt a bit redundant to be honest. Plus, there was quite the chatter after some wild rumors sprung up during the Latin Festival.

We had reason to cheer with the opening of the Levine Children's Emergency Room - seriously a huge leap for child safety in our town. And hey, let's not forget our popular youth fire department camp. If you blink, you'll miss sign-ups!

On the political horizon, House Bill 3 stunned us with proposals for partisan elections and extended council terms. While I was out for a wedding in Florida, I'm all for this transparency. Some exciting times ahead, and don't worry, my campaign is ready to rock!
