This episode will conclude my three-part series about who is responsible for this season's abysmal failure with our Mariners. Sorry, folks, this one is a bit longer than normal, mostly because I lumped ownership and the front office into one episode.

Today I look at how the coaches and manager contributed to this disaster of a season for our Seattle Mariners. I don't pull any punches, but I do offer alternatives, and, I think I voice the frustration that fans have felt this entire year, even going back to last year's Game 7.

I have no intention of dancing on the Mariners' grave, but this episode is the first of three that will examine why the Mariners did not live up to their preseason hype and hopes. Part I is about the players.

In this episode Matt welcomes co-author and co-host of Baseball Outsiders, Dave Manion, as they discuss the Top 50 Mariners, a list that the team will reveal on August 8th. The episode gives the entire list , includes comments by both Dave and Matt, and discusses some of the players who didn't make the final 50.

In this episode, Matt will look at what the Mariners need to do to turn the Good Ship Mariner around in the 2nd half.

Under my new format, I will spend this week's special edition discussing the recent revelations of gambling in baseball and sports, in general.

This week I look at what hurt the Mariners in the ALCS, how the Dodgers represent the best and worst in baseball today, and how the M's look moving forward. I also and changing the focus of the show to include more general topics in MLB.

In this episode, I will discuss the upcoming AL Championship Series against the Toronto Blue Jays. What do the Mariners need to do to win? Find out here.
