  • The Confusion Never Stops in Freemasonry Ch7
    Feb 22 2026

Chapter 7 of Why This Confusion In The Temple by Dwight L. Smith talks about how the fraternity has to be careful about publicizing anything about the fraternity.

Most Masons and Lodges don't think this all the way through, and the results can be more injurious than helpful.

With the advent of all the social media apps and lodges eager to post everything about what the lodge is doing, we may be setting ourselves up for a more negative response than a positive one.

  • Why This Confusion In The Temple? CH- 4
    Feb 8 2026

Dwight L. Smith's thought-provoking articles of 1963 and 1964 are just as relevant today as they were back in those times.

Why have we not heard more about this information, and how does it rank among the several issues affecting the Masonic Fraternity?

Can we ever get out of our own way and just follow what Freemasonry has laid before our feet?

But what does that even mean?

Let us contemplate after lifting heavy weights, or before lifting heavy weights.

    Jan 19 2026

How many times have you attended the Annual Installation of Officers at a Masonic Lodge and wondered what it meant? When done with solemnity, it can have a profound impact on the people in attendance and the officers being installed.

One of the masons officiating the ceremony reads the expectations of each officer and explains the meaning of the corresponding jewel

But could there be a more spiritual meaning behind this inauspicious occasion?

And on the exercise side of things, we ask, "How many reps are enough reps?

  • Why This Confusion in the Temple? Ch1 thru 3
    Jan 11 2026

In 1962, Dwight L. Smith, PMG of Indiana, sat down and wrote a series of articles that described the state of Freemasonry and what he and others had observed since the 19030s.

This state remains unchanged, and, aside from new technology, for all intents and purposes, we are still doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

    What did he observe?

    Why don't we listen?

    Where will this take us?

    When will we learn?

How can we use this knowledge and help change the tides?

Why do we keep repeating the mistakes of the past?

Is Freemasonry just about attracting new members?

  • Celestial Secrets and Masonic Festivals, Day 3 of the Winter Solstice
    Dec 23 2025

On day 3 of the Winter Solstice observation, we talk about the importance of nutrition when embarking on a mission of improving your strength and health.

Train Like There's No Tomorrow by Bill Hinbern.

Today, I read a section of a book called "Stellar Theology and Masonic Astronomy", written by Brother Robert Hewitt Brown in 1882. This Brother clearly influenced Brother I. Edward Clark in his "Royal Secret," which was published in 1923.

I read the section called "The Circle Embordered by Two Parallel Lines" found on page 129.

Finally, I read what AI has to say about the spiritual significance of the Holy Saint John the Evangelist.

Wouldn't it be great to receive this type of information within the lodge walls that you have joined?

  • Celestial Secrets, Unlocking the Mysteries of Freemasonry Through Saint John Festivals"
    Dec 22 2025

Day two of the Winter Solstice, December 22nd, 2026, is upon us, and I read a piece written by Brother I Edward Clark. Brother Clark became a Mason way back in 1887 in Alpena, Michigan, in Hopper Lodge No. 386.

The book is over 150 pages long and even shows astrological calendars for 1924 to 1932.

There is a lot of similar content found in Stellar Theology and Masonic Astronomy, which was written by Brother Hewitt Brown, whose book came out in 1882.

I read the section titles, "Masonic Festivals of the Holy Sts. John", found on page 87.

  • Winter Solstice Strength: Another season and Masonic Festivals since Ancient Times
    Dec 21 2025

If you haven't started some kind of exercise routine and your excuse is that you have no equipment, here is an article from the dinosaur trainer himself, Brooks Kubik, called "Try this no gym workout."

Next, I get into the topic of the winter solstice and its deep connection to Freemasonry.

In an article from a small book called "3-5-7 Minute Talks on Freemasonry by Elbert Bede", called "The Saints John" found on page 40.

The beauty of this short talk is that it's about 5 minutes. But don't be fooled by its brief length; it's packed with some tantalizing ideas and observations.
