• Isaiah 24 - Apparently Sin Has Consequences! Who Knew? - 367

The world loves to believe judgment is for somebody else. Isaiah 24 won’t let us keep that illusion. We open the “Isaiah Apocalypse” with a verse-by-verse Bible study that widens the lens from local headlines to a global reckoning: the Lord empties the earth, scatters its inhabitants, and levels every human category we use to protect ourselves. Priest and people, servant and master, buyer and seller all stand under the same standard, because God’s justice is impartial and his word does not bend.

We read Isaiah 24 and trace the chapter’s haunting images: creation itself mourning, joy draining out of daily life, music going silent, and a “wasted city” left broken with battered gates. Along the way, we talk through the moral logic Isaiah gives for this collapse: humanity defiles the earth by transgressing God’s laws and breaking the everlasting covenant. The result is not only personal consequences but societal unraveling and cosmic shaking, language that echoes Genesis in reverse and points to end-times themes without losing its sharp relevance now.

Then hope cuts through the gloom. Isaiah pictures a remnant, like gleanings after harvest, lifting their voices from the ends of the earth. Even as betrayal and sorrow persist, worship rises and the chapter lands on a final claim that changes everything: the Lord of hosts reigns from Mount Zion, outshining every rival power in heaven and on earth.

  • He Cheated, She Prayed, God Changed Everything! Pt1 - Austin and Goldie Young - 366
    Oct 22 2026

Send Questions or comments here! We'll respond back in future episodes.

A relationship can take a hit and keep going. But what happens when the hits stack up into a canyon: postpartum depression, addiction, constant conflict, separation, and betrayal? We sit down with Austin and Goldie Young for a Marriage Unscripted testimony that doesn’t sanitize the pain. They talk honestly about what they brought into their relationship, including childhood instability, strict legalistic expectations, trauma from past relationships, and learned habits like anger, isolation, and refusing to be vulnerable.

As the pressure builds, work travel and burnout create even more distance. Austin shares how chasing money and success turns into depression and alcoholism, and how an affair becomes part of the wreckage. Goldie walks us through the heartbreak of suspicion, the moment everything falls apart, and what it looks like to parent in survival mode while your home is unraveling. If you’ve ever searched for help with Christian marriage restoration, infidelity recovery, postpartum depression, or addiction in marriage, their story will feel uncomfortably real.

Then the direction changes. Goldie describes surrendering to Jesus with no backup plan and choosing prayer when she has nothing left. Austin opens up about suicidal despair, a 4am message that exposes how close he is to the edge, and the night he walks into church for a baptism and ends up responding to an altar call. We close with hope and a reminder that salvation is a moment, but rebuilding trust and a healthy marriage takes humility, counseling, forgiveness, and a lot of grace. Subscribe, share this with someone who needs hope, and leave a five-star review to help more couples find these stories.

  • Isaiah 23 - Congratulations Tyre! You're Rich, Famous, and About to be Ruined! - 365
    Oct 20 2026

Send Questions or comments here! We'll respond back in future episodes.

Tyre had everything a nation could brag about: ships, money, influence, and trade routes that kept entire regions fed and wealthy. Then Isaiah 23 drops a hard truth we don’t like to hear in any century: what looks secure to humans can be brought low the moment God purposes it. We take you through this chapter verse by verse, unpacking the poetry, the geography, and the economic shockwaves that hit places like Sidon, Cyprus, and even Egypt when Tyre’s hub collapses.

As we read the text and work through the commentary, we keep circling one theme: pride makes prosperity brittle. Isaiah doesn’t treat Tyre’s downfall as a random moment in history, but as a deliberate act of the Lord of hosts to “defile the pompous pride of all glory.” That lands right on modern questions about where we place confidence: markets, technology, national strength, personal income, or the God who shakes kingdoms and rules the seas.

The chapter also surprises us with a strange blend of restoration and warning. After seventy years of being forgotten, Tyre returns to business as usual, yet the final word points beyond profit: Tyre’s merchandise becomes “holy to the Lord” and serves God’s people instead of being stored and hoarded. If you’ve ever wondered what biblical prophecy says about wealth, collapse, stewardship, and redemption, this study connects it to everyday life in a clear, practical way.

  • Your Spouse is Not the Enemy! How to Fight for Your Marriage, Not Against It - Jerimiah and Cassie Skiles - 364
    Oct 15 2026

Send Questions or comments here! We'll respond back in future episodes.

Marriage can start with promises and passion, then get tested by personality clashes, blended-family stress, health challenges, and the everyday misunderstandings nobody warns you about. As we launch a new series called Marriage Unscripted, this week we sit down with Jeremiah and Cassie Skiles, married for 22 years, to talk candidly about what keeps a relationship steady when life gets loud. If you care about Christian marriage, biblical marriage advice, and real-world communication skills, this conversation goes straight to the pressure points without losing warmth or humor.

We explore what it means to keep Christ at the center from dating onward, including wise boundaries, prayer, and choosing to pursue God together instead of settling. Jeremiah and Cassie share how seasons change, from serving in church to stepping into family caregiving, and why unity matters most when tough choices show up. A major theme is learning your spouse’s story, personality, and family background so you stop fighting the person in front of you and start addressing the real problem underneath.

We also talk about conflict and connection: how to pause before you speak, how to ask “What did you mean by that?”, and why “your spouse is not the enemy” can transform the tone of an argument. The conversation gets especially real around health struggles, the emotional weight they bring into a marriage, and how intimacy in marriage grows safer and stronger when couples communicate clearly without shame or defensiveness.

If this helps you, share it with a couple you care about, subscribe for more conversations from Marriage Life and More, and leave a review so more families can find these tools for building a strong, Christ-centered marriage.

  • Isaiah 22 - God Said, "Repent." Jerusalem Said, "Pass the Nachos!" - 363
    Oct 13 2026

Send Questions or comments here! We'll respond back in future episodes.

Jerusalem is under threat, the walls are failing, and the enemy is close enough to see, so what do the people do next? Isaiah 22 gives an answer that feels uncomfortably modern: they double down on what they can control and leave God out of the plan. We slow down and read the “Valley of Vision” prophecy carefully, showing how a city surrounded by spiritual truth can still act spiritually blind when pressure hits.

We talk through the practical details Isaiah highlights: weapons stockpiles, reinforced defenses, and water security, and why the problem isn’t preparation itself. The warning is self-reliance that becomes functional unbelief. God calls for repentance, humility, and mourning, yet the crowd answers with distraction and despair: “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.” If you’ve ever used busyness, entertainment, or productivity to avoid heart-level change, this chapter speaks right into that moment.

The back half turns to leadership, first with Shebna, a proud official building his legacy while the nation crumbles, then with Eliakim, a servant entrusted with authority and the “key of the house of David.” We also sit with the surprising ending: even a good leader is still just a peg that can give way, which is why ultimate trust belongs to the Lord of hosts alone. Subscribe, share the episode with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find this Isaiah Bible study and join the journey through the book.

  • 6 Misconceptions About Boundaries in Marriage - 235
    Oct 8 2026

Send Questions or comments here! We'll respond back in future episodes.

Most couples say they want peace at home, but many of us chase a surface peace that quietly breeds resentment. This week we’re breaking down the biggest misconceptions about boundaries in marriage and why healthy boundaries are not rejection, not coldness, and not a lack of faith. When we avoid limits because we’re scared of conflict or we don’t want to look selfish, we often end up with burnout, unspoken expectations, and emotional distance that no one intended.

We talk through the myths one by one: that boundaries are walls, that boundaries are selfish, that real love shouldn't need limits, and that boundaries automatically create distance. We share practical language you can use right away, like taking time to cool off before a hard talk, and we explain why a boundary is more like a door with a doorknob on the inside or a gate you can open and close to keep your marriage safe. We also unpack how trust grows when you clarify expectations, protect private conversations, and follow through consistently.

Along the way, we connect boundaries to a Christ-centered marriage, including the reality of ministry overload and how over-serving can drain your relationship at home. We get honest about what it took for us to rebuild after hard seasons, and we point back to Proverbs 4:23: guard your heart, because everything flows from it. If you want better communication, less escalation, and more emotional safety, hit play, then subscribe, share this with a friend, and leave a review to help other couples find the show.

  • Isaiah 21 - Breaking News! Babylon is Toast! - 362
    Oct 6 2026

Send Questions or comments here! We'll respond back in future episodes.

Empires don’t usually collapse with a warning label, but Isaiah 21 reads like one. We open with a vision that hits like a desert storm: Babylon, the symbol of human pride and idolatry, is headed for a decisive fall. As we walk verse by verse through Isaiah 21, we slow down over Isaiah’s own anguish, because God’s judgment is never a casual spectacle. It is serious, sobering, and meant to wake us up.

From the feast scene to the command to “oil the shield,” we trace how false security forms and why it fails. Then we stand with the watchman on the tower, listening for approaching riders and finally hearing the unforgettable cry: “Fallen, fallen is Babylon.” Along the way we connect the prophecy to real history, God’s sovereignty over nations, and the spiritual lesson beneath the headlines: trusting power, wealth, or alliances cannot replace trusting the Lord.

The chapter then turns toward Duma and Edom with a question many of us have asked in hard seasons: “Watchman, what time of the night?” The answer, “Morning comes, and also the night,” holds both hope and warning, calling us to keep seeking God with honesty. Finally, the oracle against Arabia highlights displaced fugitives, calls us to show mercy with bread and water, and gives a precise timeline for Kedar’s downfall that proves God’s control over time and events.

If Isaiah 21 presses one personal question home, it is this: when trouble comes, what or whom are we really trusting? Subscribe for more verse-by-verse Bible study, share this with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find the show.

  • 4 Types of Boundaries in Marriage - 234
    Oct 1 2026

Send Questions or comments here! We'll respond back in future episodes.

Boundaries can sound cold until you realize they often separate a marriage that feels safe from one that feels tense. We walk through what “biblical boundaries in marriage” actually means and why healthy limits are designed to increase love, faith, and respect, not create distance. When we avoid conflict to keep the peace, resentment builds. When we bring truth without grace, we crush our spouse. Our goal is to help you find the middle where honesty, kindness, and accountability can live in the same conversation.

We start with emotional boundaries: respecting feelings, avoiding minimizing language, and giving each other space to process instead of demanding immediate answers. We also get specific about red flags like guilt-tripping, silent treatment, emotional blackmail, and gaslighting, including a clear definition of gaslighting and why it can rewrite a person’s confidence over time. If you’ve ever felt stuck in cycles of defensiveness, withdrawal, or constant pressure to “talk right now,” these examples will feel familiar and practical.

From there, we move into physical boundaries and consent in marriage, including personal space, comfort with public affection, and why “not in the mood” should never be punished. We also cover spiritual boundaries in a Christian marriage: honoring different growth rates, rejecting scripture as a control tactic, and refusing to shut down decisions with “God told me” without prayer, confirmation, and unity. Finally, we lay out relational boundaries that protect trust with friends, opposite sex relationships, in-laws, social media, passwords, privacy, and the time you need together to stay connected.

If this helps you, subscribe, share it with a couple who needs it, and leave a five-star review so more marriages can find hope and practical tools. What boundary do you need to set first?
