Dive into A Man of Means, a delightful collection of six short stories co-crafted by P. G. Wodehouse and C. H. Bovill. Follow the charmingly unremarkable Roland Bleke as he unexpectedly stumbles into financial fortune, starting with a sweepstake win he barely remembers entering. As this timid young man navigates love and marriage, his newfound wealth proves to be a double-edged sword. Each story weaves into the next, with clever callbacks to Rolands previous misadventures, all told with Wodehouses signature crisp and witty style. The mishaps that befall our hapless hero are both entertaining and surprising, particularly with the introduction of Mr. Teal, an early prototype of the brilliant Jeeves. Originally published in The Strand in 1914 and later in Pictorial Review in 1916, this collection offers a glimpse into the early work of Wodehouse, filled with humor and charm.
