  • Did I Really Just Say That? Honesty, Oversharing & Regrets
    Oct 21 2026

Send us a message!! We would LOVE to hear from YOU!

Have you ever said something completely honest… and then spent the rest of the day wondering if you should've kept your mouth shut?

This week on Mama's Playground, we're talking about the fine line between being honest, being brutally blunt, and sharing a little TOO much information!

From Monica questioning whether she went too far turning down a job offer to Darlene's hilarious stories about kids who have absolutely NO filter, we're asking: When does honesty become rudeness?

We also get into overthinking conversations, choosing our words, and teaching our kids that being truthful doesn't mean saying EVERYTHING that comes to mind.

Because sometimes it's not what you say… it's HOW you say it!

Tell us in the comments: Would you rather someone be brutally honest with you or spare your feelings?

Subscribe to Mama's Playground for real conversations, motherhood, relationships, laughter, and everything in between.

  • Would Your Child Do the Right Thing When You’re Not There?
    Oct 7 2026

Send us a message!! We would LOVE to hear from YOU!

How early should we start teaching our kids to speak up when something feels wrong?

In this episode of Mama’s Playground, a disturbing story involving allegations at Cornell University leads us into a bigger conversation about parenting, consent, peer pressure, friendship, and raising kids who know when to speak up.

Our kids may be young, but the foundation starts now. How do we teach them that following a friend doesn’t make something right, that it’s okay to walk away, and that sometimes being a good friend means speaking up?

We also look back at our own younger years, the friends who looked out for us, and why lessons like the “buddy system” can matter so much—especially as our kids grow up and become more independent.

Eventually, we won’t be there to make the decisions for them. We can only hope we’ve raised them to know right from wrong, protect themselves and others, and have the courage to speak up.

Join us for an honest—and sometimes scary—conversation about raising good humans in a world we can’t always protect them from.
