  • ✨ My first-ever SXSW was an unforgettable experience!
    Jun 23 2026

What happens when a book keeps opening doors?More than two years after publishing BRAVE-ish: One Breakup, Six Continents and Feeling Fearless After Fifty, I found myself at SXSW for the very first time—signing books at the Female Quotient BookShelf, meeting readers, connecting with inspiring women, and staying at the beautiful Four Seasons Austin. In this Jet Set TV interview with Nikki Noya, we talk about courage, reinvention, storytelling, luxury travel, and why saying "yes" can lead to extraordinary opportunities.I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this experience possible and honored that BRAVE-ish continues to connect with readers around the world.📚 BRAVE-ish is available wherever books are sold.🌎 Visit WeSaidGoTravel.com for more travel stories, videos, and inspiration.See more: https://www.wesaidgotravel.com/thejetsettv-sxsw/

  • What Filled Our Hearts with Ireland: Travel Classics Editors 2023
    May 17 2026

For more than three decades, Travel Classics Magazine Conference has brought together leading voices in travel media across the United States, Europe, and beyond. Over that time, seven of its gatherings have been held in Ireland, each bringing editors and storytellers into close conversation with place and one another.I have attended two of the Ireland conferences, including the 2023 gathering, along with several others in the United States. Most recently, I returned from the 2026 Switzerland conference in Ticino, where an Ireland sponsored lunch brought me back to earlier moments in Ireland and the conversations that stayed with me.In 2023, just as I was beginning my BRAVE-ish book tour, I recorded a series of interviews with editors during the Ireland conference and asked:What fills your heart about Ireland?Since that gathering, the industry has continued to evolve. Publications have changed, roles have shifted, and many of these editors have moved on. Their voices remain capturing not only Ireland, but a shared sense of place, memory, and connection.Attending editors at Travel Classics International Conference (Ireland, 2023):Amy Alipio — National Geographic TravelJesse Ashlock — Condé Nast TravelerAnne Banas — BBC TravelAmy Cassell — Virtuoso, The MagazineNicole Council — AARPJulia Cosgrove — AFARSonia Chopra — Bon AppétitNikki Ekstein — BloombergJim Gladstone — PassportMelanie Hansche — Food & WineDerrik Lang — ShondalandCJ Lotz — Garden & GunLorrie Lynch — AARPTracey Minkin — Coastal LivingPatrick Perry — The Saturday Evening PostNina Ruggiero — Travel + LeisureGeorge Stone — National Geographic TravelSome shared their voices in this video.More from the editors: https://youtu.be/J4CnWH-IUaI

  • Sailing Tahiti on The Jet Set TV: Why Windstar Cruises Delivers Small Ships, Big Experiences
    Apr 2 2026

Set sail with me through French Polynesia as I share my experience aboard Windstar Cruises on The Jet Set TV with host Nikki Noya. 🌺

From the turquoise lagoons of Tahiti and Moorea to unforgettable moments in Bora Bora and Taha'a, this journey is all about small ships, big experiences. T

hink: swimming straight from the ship’s Marina, snorkeling with manta rays, a private motu lunch, and the incredible Feast & Fire evening under the stars.

Onboard Star Breeze, I loved the spacious suites, the welcoming crew, and the standout dining — including Basil + Bamboo, Candles Steakhouse, and menus inspired by the James Beard Foundation.

It’s the kind of travel that feels personal, immersive, and effortless.✨

In this segment, Nikki and I talk about why Windstar Cruises is such a perfect match for French Polynesia — and why this style of cruising continues to be one of my favorites.
