• Lamentations | Andrew Itson | Unguarded Strengths
    May 17 2026

When pride turns precious gold into broken pottery, how do we rebuild? In Lamentations 4, we will explore how Jerusalem's overconfidence led to devastating ruin. Lamentations 4 serves as a warning that no human strength is sufficient on its own. Relying on past success can be dangerous. When we use our strengths to build our own kingdom, we make ourselves vulnerable to spiritual failure. Join us as we, like the people described in Lamentations, audit our lives, and turn from self-reliance to God.

  • Lamentations | Brandon Pressnell | Dare to Hope
    May 10 2026

In the rubble of what was once a vibrant city, the mound of Zion stands as a visual representation of the state of Judah’s heart. Lamentations 3 zeroes in on how this deportation has impacted her remnants when they survey the destruction. With vivid imagery, this chapter highlights the emotions and experience of what felt like a surprise ambush, shocking, and completely debilitating. But in the intensity of this heartbreaking helplessness, the poet, from spiritual muscle memory, dares to find hope in the One who can and will eventually right all wrongs.

  • Lamentations | Andrew Itson | When the Bow Turns
    May 3 2026

Today, we enter one of the darkest times in Judah's history. The right hand of God, once stretched out as a bow to protect, becomes a force of judgment against His own people. Lamentations 2 forces us to confront a terrifying reality: persistent disobedience invites the discipline of God. The ruin of Jerusalem was not God’s impulsive anger, but the fulfillment of God’s long-standing warnings. Yet, there is hope in the ruins. God’s judgment is not meant to alienate us, but to drive us to raw repentance and grief. Today, we explore the need to turn from false comforts and routine denial and bring our "deep as the sea" grief directly to Him. May we all ask ourselves a difficult but important question, “Will we choose denial or repentance?”

  • Lamentations | Brandon Pressnell | Lamentations
    Apr 26 2026

Sin has a way of bringing us to isolation and defeat and sometimes in that time of extreme grief, we call out to God, but do not feel His presence. Where are You? Why don’t you care? Why have You abandoned me? The more we ask these questions with no response, the more we are reminded that these questions are actually God’s questions to us. Where are YOU? Why don’t YOU care? Why have YOU abandoned me? Often, solitude creates a contemplative mindset that brings us to the clarity we already knew. I left God. His silence echoes in our conviction, allowing our grief and misery to do its work - create a longing for restoration.

  • The Way of Jesus | Andrew Itson | The Joy of Spiritual Disciplines
    Apr 19 2026

We often try to fix our inner emptiness with cheap, quick fixes rather than addressing the unexamined culture of our daily lives. The word, spiritual disciplines often carries a heavy weight or sounds like a chore. But as we’re going to discuss today, the spiritual disciplines are not an end themselves, the power is in God. However, spiritual disciplines have the opportunity to make what is invisible, visible. As we will see in our texts, spiritual disciplines may seem painful or restrictive at first, but they are designed for transformation rather than mere information. Today we will end our series by discovering how to move from a life of exhausting, chaotic routine to a structured, flourishing life by practicing the way of Jesus.

  • The Way of Jesus | Brandon Pressnell | Guide, Guard, and Direct Us
    Apr 12 2026

Having considered the rhythms of Jesus’ life of making space for the gospel, preaching the gospel, and living out the gospel, the best use of our time is abiding in Christ so we may be trained in His ways. Like a trellis in a vineyard, this is going to require structure and discipline that will guide us, protect us from harm, and make room for God’s transformative work in our lives. As we consider our purpose in a world filled with attraction, reaction, and distraction, we must ask ourselves, “What structure will I need to grow in Jesus’ Way?”

  • The Way of Jesus | Andrew Itson | Detours with Jesus
    Apr 5 2026

Detours are rarely convenient and often frustrating. However, as we’ll see in our text today, it’s often in the detour, not the destination, that we recognize Jesus. In Luke 24, Jesus has just risen from the grave. However, we’re going to see how Jesus carefully and compassionately deals with two people's crushed hopes and expectations. Like these two people on the road to Emmaus, Jesus wants to take our crushed hopes and our unrealistic expectations and reframe them around His words AND in the breaking of bread.
