The Minnesota Lynx, despite a 33-11 record and first-place standing in the Western Conference Division, suffered a historic first-round sweep by the New York Liberty. We analyze the impact of Napheesa Collier's free agency uncertainty and the team's defensive struggles.

Key players discussed include Courtney Williams, who led the team in scoring and rebounding against New York, and Napheesa Collier, whose future remains undecided. We also examine the contributions of New York's Jonquel Jones and Sabrina Ionescu in the series-clinching victory.

Topics covered include the Lynx's power rankings position relative to the Liberty, the critical need for improved perimeter shooting and wing size, and realistic win projections for the 2027 season following potential roster changes.
