We're in week two of Venus Retrograde, so I thought it was the perfect time to explore love and relationships through the lens of your natal chart. And this week, you chose the topic!

Your Venus sign might reveal what attracts you, but does it tell you what you actually need to feel loved?

In this episode, I'm exploring the difference between attraction, emotional security and desire through Venus, the Moon and Mars. I'll use my own placements (Venus in Gemini, Moon in Virgo and Mars in Scorpio) to show you how our relationship needs can sometimes seem contradictory, and why that's not necessarily a bad thing.

We'll also explore how to use your natal chart to better understand your own needs in love, and why there's so much more to your relationship story than one planetary placement.

The Libra New Moon is asking us to look at the difference between compromise and self-abandonment. With Venus retrograde ruling this lunation and Saturn opposing it from Aries, we’re exploring reciprocity, boundaries, unspoken agreements and what it really means to meet someone in the middle. Plus, I’ll show you how to find 17° Libra in your chart and work with this New Moon personally.

Welcome to the very first Lunar Lover: In Conversation, a new monthly episode where I’m joined by Melissa Byrne for a more conversational look at the astrology we’re actually living through, using our own lives and charts as the case studies.

For our first conversation, we’re going back through our Venus Retrograde histories to see what was really happening each time Venus changed direction. Relationships ended, exes resurfaced, money arrived, values shifted and, in hindsight, the astrology is rather hard to ignore.

Then we travel back to 2018, the last time Venus retrograded through this same part of Scorpio and Libra, to explore our eight-year echoes and ask: what would 2026 us tell our 2018 selves?

We also share what we’re watching as this Venus Retrograde unfolds, so we can come back next month and find out whether the echo actually echoed.
