I grew up thinking that my parents were this kind of asexual couple who had 4 kids who somehow poof’d into reality by some sort of seemingly immaculate conception.

Almost like I was Jesus…

Ok just kidding…

But for real as far as I could tell my parents had sex 4 times…

There were 4 children in my family…

Besides that it was not a subject that was ever spoken about…

Intimacy was never really shown.

So the question is how much affection should you show in front of your kids?

I understand that this is a wide open discussion that almost nobody is going to agree on.

We live in a time where the thought of doing anything for a man makes the modern woman’s skin crawl.

The question is why…

Have gender roles in relationships really changed all that much?

Is a man still expected to get the door for his woman?

Are men still expected to front the bill for dates?

Is the man still expected to take care of the yard and fix the cars?

Is the man still expected to fix things around the house?

Is the man still responsible to protect his woman while out on the town if something were to happen?

When a window breaks downstairs and wakes you up… Who is it that goes downstairs in the dark to confront the unknown danger lurking around every corner?

This is the way it should be… These things should not go away.

So why then should it be so repulsive and appalling to the modern woman to do anything at all in service of a man?

Is going into the kitchen and making him the proverbial “sammich” really such a bad thing?
