The Miami Hurricanes will not see a sensational return of starting cornerback OJ Frederique just yet. The starting DB has been out since the second play against Stanford and continues to work his way back from an upper body injury. Coach Cristobal says “it will be a while still,” before his return.

Host Alex Donno also recaps the Monday press conference from defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman. Hetherman opens up on Miami’s tackling struggles in their narrow victory over North Carolina. He explains why Notre Dame QB CJ Carr will present a tough challenge for his team.

Mario Cristobal sheds light on Miami's defensive shortcomings after a nail-biting shootout victory over North Carolina, emphasizing the urgent need to sharpen tackling and boost execution ahead of a showdown with Notre Dame. With 14 missed tackles and questions about lineup adjustments—including potential returns for O.J. Frederique and Ja'Boree Antoine—the Hurricanes face mounting pressure to make crucial corrections as the season accelerates toward its climax.

As parity upends college football, Cristobal reminds his squad that domination is never guaranteed—regardless of point spreads or top-25 status. Can Miami maintain its unbeaten streak in high-stakes November matchups, or will the nation’s growing competitiveness and the transfer portal catch up to them? All eyes turn to the upcoming clash against Notre Dame, where every drive and defensive play could tip the balance in a season where favorites fall and expectations are constantly challenged.

The Miami Hurricanes escaped a thriller at North Carolina, edging the Tar Heels 38-35 in a game filled with big plays and tense moments. As Miami clung to victory, the spotlight shone on offensive standouts like Darian Mensah and Malachi Toney, both surging in the Heisman race after clutch performances. Mark Fletcher Jr.'s three total touchdowns and Elijah Lofton's electrifying first-down conversion powered an offense that proved unstoppable, even as the defense struggled to contain Carolina’s relentless attack.

Ohio State’s shock loss to USC reshuffled the national landscape, opening the door for Miami and Georgia as top contenders. Can Miami’s explosive offense keep masking defensive woes in the final push for an ACC championship berth? With pivotal matchups and Heisman hopes hanging in the balance, the Hurricanes’ drive continues next week in South Bend against Notre Dame.
