County Mayor candidate Reggie Weaver joined the broads for a conversation about real people running for office. Real people, meaning people involved in their local communities who are outside of the insider ball game club. We discussed the need for people outside the political machine to step up and run for a local office, help someone who is and at the very least be involved with local politics by holding these people more accountable. People tend to ignore the politics in their own back yard, focus on the President of the country only and wonder how we got here. Everything starts local and should push up but we live in a top down french press form of government and we are feeling the squeeze. How refreshing it was to talk to someone willing to put himself out there who walks the talk and truly is a man about the love of people.
