  • 'Me' to 'We' (Part 3) Finding Your Purpose - JT Riley - 10/4
    Oct 5 2026

    Scripture Reference: Ephesians 4:1–16

What if spiritual growth was never meant to be a solo sport? In week three of our series, From 'Me' to 'We', Pastor JT dives into Ephesians 4 to reveal how God designed the Church to mature, thrive, and fulfill its mission.

It's easy to view church as a spectator event where we show up, watch from the bleachers, and go home. But Paul paints a radically different picture of the Body of Christ: We only reach spiritual maturity when every single member steps up and does the part they were created to do.

    • One Lord, One Faith, One Us (vv. 1–6): Before Paul talks about our individual gifts, he grounds us in our shared identity. We are called to walk in humility, gentleness, and patience, preserving the unity of the Spirit. There is one Body and one Spirit, called to one glorious hope.

    • You Can't Grow Up Like Jesus by Yourself (vv. 11–15): Spiritual maturity is a team effort. God gave leaders, teachers, and equippers to the Church not to do all the work, but to train us for the work of ministry. We cannot grow into the fullness of Christ in isolation; we need the sharpening, truth-speaking presence of brothers and sisters around us.

    • We Grow as You Do the Part You Were Built to Do (v. 16): Every believer is a uniquely designed joint in the Body of Christ. When one part neglects its role, the whole body suffers. But when every part works properly, the entire church grows and builds itself up in love.

Pastor JT challenged every person in our church family to get off the sidelines and into the game:

    1. You have a part to play that no one else in this church can play. What has been keeping you on the sidelines—fear, busyness, insecurity, or comfort? What is the one step God is asking you to take this week to get in the game?

    2. You were made for Jesus and made for community. Both are standing right in front of you. What is keeping you from stepping fully into both today?

  • 'Me' to 'We' (Part 2) Built Together - JT Riley - 9/27
    Sep 28 2026

    Scripture Reference: Ephesians 2:19–22

How do people from completely different backgrounds, political views, personality types, and life stages come together to form a united spiritual family? In week two of our series, From 'Me' to 'We', Pastor JT takes us to Ephesians 2 to reveal a stunning truth about the church.

In a world splintered by division and echo chambers, Jesus does something revolutionary: In Christ, our differences don't divide us—they become the dwelling place of God. True biblical community isn't about finding people who look, think, and act exactly like you; it's about being built together into something far greater than ourselves.

    • You Are Not Just Welcome, You Are a Citizen (v. 19a): In the Kingdom of God, you are no longer a stranger, an outsider, or a second-class guest. Through Christ, you have been given full citizenship with all the rights, privileges, and belonging that come with it.

    • Family Means Shared Foundation, Not Shared Opinions (vv. 19b–20): Church family isn't built on political consensus, social status, or shared hobbies. Our shared foundation is the Apostles, the Prophets, and Jesus Christ Himself as the Chief Cornerstone. Our unity is grounded in Who we worship, not what we prefer.

    • God Builds Using Rough-Edged Stones (v. 21): Living in close community rubs off our sharp edges. When God fits believers together, He doesn't discard the imperfect or difficult stones—He uses the friction of community to smooth us out and lock us securely into place.

    • The Dwelling Place of God Is Us, Together (v. 22): God no longer dwells in physical temples built by human hands. As we align ourselves with Christ and commit to one another, we collectively become the holy temple where the Spirit of God chooses to live and work.

Pastor JT leaves us with two honest, heart-searching questions to process this week:

    1. Who is the person in this church or community who rubs you the wrong way? What if God placed them in your life on purpose to grow your character? What would it look like this week to actively build with them instead of avoiding them?

    2. What is your current community building you toward? Is it actively pointing you toward the abundant life found in Christ, or is it leading you toward worldly pursuits that always leave you feeling empty?

  • 'Me' to 'We' (Part 1) Prioritizing Community - JT Riley - 9/20
    Sep 22 2026

    Scripture References: Hebrews 10:25, 2 Timothy 4:9–10, Luke 9:57–62, Luke 19:1–10

In a culture that endlessly celebrates independence, self-reliance, and personal autonomy, true biblical community can feel like an endangered species. This week, we launch our new series, From 'Me' to 'We', where Pastor JT explores what it takes to break out of our self-centered bubbles and build deep, life-giving relationships centered on Christ.

The journey from "Me" to "We" doesn't happen by accident. The main idea of week one is foundational: Priority is the first practice towards community.

    • You Have Inherited Individualism and Isolation (Hebrews 10:25): We live in a world crafted for isolation, where convenience often replaces connection. Hebrews 10:25 explicitly warns us not to give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing. Lone-ranger Christianity is not only unbiblical—it leaves us vulnerable.

    • We All Have Real Excuses (2 Timothy 4:9–10, Luke 9:57–62): Busyness, exhaustion, past church hurt, and competing commitments are real—but so were the excuses people made in Scripture. From Demas deserting Paul out of love for the world, to the hopeful followers in Luke who put conditions on following Jesus, excuses will always rob us of true spiritual brotherhood.

    • Community Requires Intentionality (Luke 19:1–10): Look at Zacchaeus—he was isolated and ostracized, but he took intentional, radical action just to get near Jesus. Jesus responded by stepping directly into his home and life. Community demands that we press past obstacles, climb out of our comfort zones, and make room at our tables.

Pastor JT challenged us to take an honest, uncomfortable audit of our relational lives this week:

    1. Where in your life do you see yourself living in genuine Christian community? Is that network healthy and life-giving, is it currently on life support, or is it completely non-existent?

    2. Does your current inner circle consistently point you toward Jesus? Do the people closest to you support your family, help you make wise choices, and direct you toward holy living? If not, what is keeping you from stepping into the authentic community Jesus offers in His church?

Connect with Us: You weren't created to carry life's heavy loads alone! Listen to the full message on our church app or website, and take the first step toward "We" by joining a LifeGroup or serving team this week.
