This sermon teaches that biblical joy is not a temporary feeling tied to circumstances, but a steady state of being that recognizes and receives God's grace—even in pain. Drawing primarily from James 1, it calls believers to make a clear decision when trials come: choose joy and trust God alone rather than treating Him as one resource among many. As faith is tested, endurance grows, bringing stability in the storm and, in time, God's promised blessing. Rooted in the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5) and Jesus' invitation to remain in His love (John 15), the message urges listeners to lean on God daily and endure with Spirit-powered joy.

This sermon, "Living by the Spirit: What is love?", teaches that biblical love is not just a feeling but a sacrificial, others-focused, Christlike way of living. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 13, it emphasizes that all spiritual gifts, knowledge, or acts of charity are meaningless without genuine love. True love is action-oriented and demonstrated, not merely felt—mirroring how God showed His love by sending Christ for us (Romans 5:8). This kind of love, especially toward difficult people and even enemies, is only possible through the Holy Spirit working in believers. Ultimately, love is the proof of true discipleship and the only virtue that lasts forever, with eternal significance for how we live today.

This sermon walks through the sobering story of Uzzah and the Ark of the Covenant, showing how God calls His people to obedience rather than ease, convenience, or "new carts" that bypass His instructions. Drawing from Exodus and 2 Samuel, it highlights how familiarity can erode reverence, urging believers to recover holiness in both private and public life. The message also emphasizes healthy pacing—rest, worship, and Sabbath rhythms—as essential to sustaining a life aligned with God. Ultimately, it points to Jesus as the only source of true righteousness and access to God's presence, inviting hearers to repent, trust Christ, and stop treating God like a good-luck charm.
