  • Beyond Healthy Aging: The Science and Spirituality of Radical Life Extension
    Oct 21 2026
What if our assumptions about aging—and even about the limits of the human lifespan—are more restrictive than they need to be? In this episode of the Living to 100 Club, Dr. Joe Casciani welcomes James Strole, founder of the Coalition for Radical Life Extension and co-founder of RAADfest, the annual gathering devoted to advances in longevity science. James has spent decades exploring the possibilities of extending human life and challenging conventional beliefs about aging, decline, and mortality. The conversation examines the rapidly evolving field of longevity science, including research into gene therapy and other approaches aimed at slowing or potentially reversing aspects of biological aging. But James’ vision extends beyond biology. In his newest book, The Gospel of Longevity, he explores the intersection of modern longevity science with deeper spiritual teachings about human potential and our relationship with life and death. Joe and James also explore an important psychological question: Are too many people spending their later years simply trying to maintain what they have—or, as James describes it, living in “survival mode”? What is the “trauma of survival,” and what happens when we begin imagining later life in terms of possibility rather than inevitable decline? This is a conversation about longevity, mindset, science, spirituality, and a provocative possibility: whether the boundaries we place around aging and lifespan may someday look very different from those we accept today. Mini Bio James Strole is the Executive Director of the Coalition for Radical Life Extension, which is the producer of RAADfest, the largest global event of its kind. James is also the Co-Founder and Co-Director of People Unlimited, an organization that supports people interested in unlimited lifespans. Author of the book “The Gospel of Longevity”, James is a visionary anti-death activist and community builder who has spoken and written on radical life extension and physical immortality for over four decades. He has dedicated his life to challenging death-oriented beliefs and practices, and has coached thousands of people in living an ageless lifestyle to achieve healthier, fuller, more vibrant lives. He has appeared on numerous TV shows both domestically and abroad, and has spoken to audiences on four continents. For Our Listeners Our Guest's Website: People Unlimited Inc. • What Happens When Someone Really Listens to Your Life Story?
    Oct 22 2026
What happens when someone takes the time to truly listen to your life story. In other words, not simply recording names, dates, and events, but helping you uncover the meaning behind them? In this episode of the Living to 100 Club, Dr. Joe Casciani talks with Rafi Moshe, founder of StoriedLife. They talk about the powerful role storytelling can play in preserving identity, strengthening family connections, and helping older adults see their lives through a new lens. Rafi created StoriedLife to help people move beyond the traditional memoir. Using AI as an intelligent interviewer and biographer, the platform engages individuals in personalized conversations that follow their stories wherever they lead. Those conversations can become written narratives, audio recordings in the storyteller's own voice, interactive galleries, and a legacy that can be shared across generations. But Joe and Rafi explore something even more important than the finished product. That is, what happens to us in the process of telling our stories. Being asked the right question—and feeling genuinely heard—can help us rediscover experiences. It can help to rediscover strengths, relationships, and parts of ourselves that may have faded from view. Their conversation also examines the role of AI in something deeply human: listening. Can technology actually help us have richer conversations about our lives? And can telling the story of where we've been help us think differently about who we are—and who we are still becoming? Mini Bio Rafi Moshe is a longtime technology entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of StoriedLife. This is a conversational AI biographer that helps people explore and share the stories that shaped their lives. He believes storytelling is not simply about preserving the past—it is a journey of reflection and rediscovery that helps us understand who we are. It helps to recognize the meaning in our experiences, and connect more deeply with the people we love. After building and exiting multiple technology companies, Rafi is now focused on humane AI. How do we use technology not just to make us more productive, but to help people feel heard, understood, and connected. How do we allow future generations to encounter the person behind the stories, not merely read a record of their life. A Special Offer for Living to 100 Club Listeners With Thanksgiving and Christmas approaching, it's a great time to preserve family stories. Rafi Moshe is offering our listeners 10% off StoriedLife, whether for yourself or as a gift to a parent or grandparent. PROMO CODE CLUB100 Visit StoriedLife

Over the years, we've explored hundreds of ideas about living longer, healthier, and happier. It's fitting that this milestone episode focuses on one of the most important ingredients in successful aging: optimism. The conversation looks at what optimism really means—and how it differs from simply “thinking positive.” Joe and John discuss whether optimism and resilience can be strengthened, how our outlook affects the way we respond to life's inevitable setbacks, and why having purpose and something to look forward to may become increasingly important as we grow older.
