  • He Didn't Know How To Provide For His Family | Ryan and Karina's Story Ep. 9 | Life Upside Down
    Oct 23 2026

What does it actually mean to provide for your family?

For Ryan, it wasn’t something that came naturally overnight. It was a process of learning, failing, trying new things, working jobs he never imagined doing, and trusting God when he had no idea what the next step was.

In this episode of Life Upside Down, Ryan and Karina continue their story and talk about the season when the responsibility of providing for their growing family began to fall heavily on Ryan.

But this isn’t only a story about a husband learning to provide.

Karina shares how she had to learn what it meant to truly be a helper—not simply expecting Ryan to figure everything out, but walking beside him, helping him identify his gifts, encouraging him when he felt like he was failing, and reminding him of the truth when the pressure became overwhelming.

They talk about marriage as a team, pursuing work that aligns with how God has wired you, finding purpose in seemingly insignificant jobs, and recognizing how God can use years of unrelated experiences to prepare you for something you can't see yet.

And through all of it, they learned something even bigger:

Providing isn't just about a paycheck—and ultimately, God is the Provider.

If you’ve ever felt behind, wondered what you’re supposed to do with your life, struggled under the pressure of providing, or questioned whether the season you're in has any purpose, we hope this conversation encourages you.

  • "I'm A Statistical Anomaly" | Paul Ludacka's Full Story | Life Upside Down
    Aug 28 2026

Paul had already endured abandonment, abuse, instability, and more pain than most people experience in a lifetime. By 14, he was paying rent and providing for himself. He eventually left home carrying everything he owned in a cardboard box.
Statistically, Paul says he shouldn’t be here. He could have easily ended up imprisoned, addicted, or dead—but God had another plan.
Years later, after walking into a house filled with drugs, alcohol, pornography, and people he no longer wanted influencing his life, Paul reached his breaking point. He threw everyone out and decided he would attack the next person who came to the door.
    Then someone knocked.
Standing outside was Pastor Daryl Scott—the man who had previously told Paul that Jesus loved him and had a purpose for his life. That night, in the middle of all the darkness and brokenness surrounding him, Paul fell to his knees and gave his life to Christ.
In this powerful conversation, Paul shares:
    • Growing up without his biological father
    • Living with an abusive alcoholic stepfather
    • Leaving home at only 14 years old
    • The woman who changed the direction of his life
    • Losing the future he thought he had built
    • Surviving an accident that left him with a broken back
    • The pastor who continued pursuing him
    • The night he finally surrendered his life to Jesus
    • Breaking generational cycles through faith and intentional fatherhood
    • Why success, money, and achievement can never fill the God-shaped void inside us
    • How trials can produce perseverance, character, and hope
Paul’s life is living proof that God can redeem even the most painful parts of our stories. What others intended for evil, God can use for good.
If you feel broken, forgotten, or too far gone, we hope this conversation reminds you that Jesus is willing to meet you exactly where you are. You do not have to clean yourself up before coming to Him.
“If Christ can save me, He can save anybody.” — Paul

  • God Revealed This In Her Father's Final Days | Ryan and Karina's Story Ep. 8 | Life Upside Down
    Jul 2 2026

What if the darkest moment of your life was actually God's grace?

In this episode, Karina continues sharing one of the most difficult seasons she has ever walked through. After receiving news that her estranged father was dying from brain cancer, she traveled to say goodbye, expecting grief but encountering something she never expected God to reveal.

As she stood beside her father's hospital bed, wrestling with questions about suffering, pain, pride, forgiveness, and eternity, God began showing her a powerful picture of grace, humility, and the true cost of sin. What looked like wrath became one of the clearest demonstrations of God's mercy she had ever experienced.

Ryan and Karina discuss generational brokenness, the dangers of pride, the reality that life is far shorter than we realize, and the hope that remains even in our final moments. This episode is a raw and emotional reminder that God's love often shows up in ways we don't immediately understand.

If you've ever questioned God's goodness in the middle of suffering, this conversation is for you.
