We are excited to launch the Life Sculptors Podcast where we have conversations that help your life take shape. The format of this podcast is structured around reading children's books and extracting life lessons for adults. There is a saying that everything we needed to learn about life we learned in kindergarten. Our early childhood educators know that the secret sauce to deep learning is through story. So we'll use story to make our conversations "stickier" in hopes that the lessons will remain with you long after you finish listening. You can learn more about us at www.lifesculptors.org

  • Interrupted: When Life Doesn't Ask Permission
    Apr 19 2026

What happens when your life is interrupted by responsibilities you didn’t ask for?

In this episode, we explore Mother Bruce and the tension of being needed before you feel ready.

    This conversation looks at:

    • why resistance often reveals more about us than the situation
    • how our expectations shape frustration
    • and what it means to grow into roles we never would have chosen

Not everything that happens is good—but nothing has to be wasted.

  • An Investment You Can't Afford to Ignore: Relationships!
    Mar 27 2026

What if the most important investments you make aren’t financial… but relational?

In this episode, we explore how the way we see people shapes the way we build (or fail to build) meaningful relationships. Through a reading of Little Blue Truck, we uncover the hidden concept of relational capital—the trust and goodwill built through small, consistent interactions over time.

Because the truth is—support doesn’t just show up in difficult moments. It grows out of the relationships we’ve been building all along.

Question to consider: Are you seeing people… or evaluating them?

If this episode resonates, be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs it.

  • Why We Protect Ourselves From Love
    Mar 9 2026

What happens when vulnerability has been historically expensive?

In this episode, I read Love Finds a Way by Vern Kousky and explore a deeper question beneath the story: What do we protect when someone gets close?

This conversation introduces the idea of vulnerability tolerance — the capacity to remain emotionally present and regulated when being seen, known, or dependent feels risky.

    We discuss:

    • Why protection often feels automatic
    • What attachment research reveals about self-protective patterns
    • The difference between protection and capacity
    • How low vulnerability tolerance shows up in leadership, marriage, and friendships

Protection is adaptation. But what once kept you safe may now be limiting you.

If vulnerability has been expensive before, are you still paying interest on something that no longer requires a debt?

    You are exactly enough.
