  • Episode 10: What It Takes to Hold a Family Toget
    Oct 15 2026

For Episode 10, I had the joy of sitting down with my wife of 35 years, Linda.

I know that Linda’s faith is her cornerstone. Over our years together, I have leaned on that faith and the grace and prayer she describes as the two greatest gifts she has ever been given.

Linda wears many titles proudly: wife, mother to three, mother-in-law to three, and grandma to three. She is the youngest of five daughters, an aunt, a sister, and a friend. She has also spent 36 years working in special education.

Family is at the center of her life, and faith is the foundation beneath it. As Linda puts it, “My life would be very different without either grace or prayer.”

And then there’s music. Whether she’s singing, playing her piano, or simply listening, music brings her joy and can change the mood of her day.

I’m grateful you get to hear from the woman I’ve shared my life with for well over 35 years, and I hope her story reminds you that some of the most extraordinary people are the ones sharing your everyday life.

  • Episode 9: Who Would Put You on Their List?
    Oct 1 2026

Most of us can quickly name the people we consider family. The harder question is whether they would put our name on their list.

In this episode, Dom focuses on one of the most important parts of life: family. He reflects on the difference between saying someone matters to us and making sure they actually experience that from us through our presence, attention, and choices.

Along the way, the conversation turns toward something practical: family is not simply something we have, but something we build, protect, repair, and keep alive through the small things we choose to do every day.

  • Episode 8: What Grows Stronger Over Time
    Jul 3 2026

    GUEST: Tim Barrus

    (links at the bottom)

    Brief:

A short conversation about perspective, priorities, and how the things that matter most often become clearer over the course of a lifetime.

    Episode notes and description:

Tim and I have known each other for more than thirty-five years. He's my brother-in-law, but more importantly, we've shared a lifetime of family gatherings, raising our children together, celebrations, and the ordinary moments that quietly become life's most meaningful memories.

Today, Tim is enjoying a new chapter of life with his wife, family including grand kids, and the freedom that comes with years of experience and perspective.

In this conversation, we explore how priorities evolve over time, what quietly falls away, what grows stronger, and what life teaches us when we take the time to pay attention.

Special note: Tim has been part of our family's story for more than three decades. I've learned from him as a husband, father, grandfather, friend, and now through the lens of retirement. This conversation reminded me that some of life's greatest lessons aren't learned all at once... they're discovered over time. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

  • Episode 7: When Priorities Quietly Change
    Jun 22 2026

A family wedding, a butterfly garden, and two remarkable conversations led to an unexpected reflection on priorities, attention, and the things worth protecting.

In this episode, Dom explores what happens when life quietly asks us to shift our focus away from productivity and toward presence. Building on recent conversations with Abigail and Nicolette, he reflects on the important parts of life, the difference between impressive goals and worthy ones, and why some of the most meaningful things we do never appear on a scorecard.

Along the way, a deeper idea begins to emerge—one that will carry into the next conversation and may change the way we think about what truly matters over the course of a life.

  • Episode 3: Worthy Goals vs. Impressive Goals
    Jan 29 2026

Not every achievable goal is worth achieving.

In Episode 3 of Life at Our Best™, Dom Wharram explores an often overlooked distinction. The difference between goals that look impressive and goals that are truly worthy of our time, energy, and attention.

    Some goals give energy.

    Others quietly drain it.

Through calm reflection and a simple two question exercise, this episode invites an honest look at the goals we are pursuing and why.

Meaningful progress is not about chasing the right thing harder.

It is about choosing the right kind of thing in the first place.
