What if the mountains we see today aren't really mountains at all? What if they are the remains of massive ancient trees that once towered miles above the Earth?

In this episode of Let's Get to the Bottom of That, we dive deep into one of the strangest theories surrounding Earth's forgotten past: the possibility that enormous trees once dominated the planet, and that some of today's mountains, mesas, and rock formations are actually the petrified stumps of these ancient giants.

From the mysterious Devil's Tower in Wyoming to massive flat-topped mountains around the world, we explore the unusual formations that have fueled this controversial theory. Could these structures be remnants of a world that existed before the Great Flood? Were these giant trees connected to ancient civilizations, biblical accounts, or even the Nephilim? And if such a world existed, what happened to it?

We'll examine the claims, the supposed evidence, what geology tells us, and the questions that continue to capture people's imaginations.

Were giant trees once part of Earth's forgotten history, or is this another conspiracy theory that falls apart under scrutiny?

Join us as we dig into the mysteries of the ancient world and ask one incredible question: Were mountains once trees?

Part II of the Canon of Scripture:

Marcion of Sinope - 144 AD ROME

He compiled the Christian Bible and butchered it so he was kicked out of church

11 books was Marcions Bible the 1st Christian canon ever compiled.

So this forced the Church Fathers to create the Canon correctly: what scriptures had the church always received

Not by voting

1. Apostolic origin

2. Universal acceptance

3. Doctrinal consistently (agreed with what the church had always taught)

4. Liturgical use (was the book read in the Sunday Eucharist)

These 4 criteria are not found in the Bible

Athanasius wrote in a letter and listed the 27 books in the New Testament.

393 AD a formal council synod of Hippo was held and confirmed the 27 books; this was Canon 36

397 AD: Council of Carthage reaffirms the same 27 books

419 AD: Carthage met again and finalized the Canon

"In AD 419, the Council of Carthage reaffirmed the canon previously recognized at Hippo (393) and Carthage (397), helping establish the standard biblical canon in the Western Church."

The list of books is not listed in the Bible; the Church recognized and preserved the books

The Orthodox Church has preserved the same canon, the same liturgy, the same faith for 2000 years unbroken.
