When I was young I often heard that "a child should be seen and not heard". By the time I entered my teens, 20's, and even a bit into my 30's - I felt a little pride in telling people how I felt and teaching them "the truth". But it never seemed to go well. I realized most of their anger was because they just wanted to be heard. It's hard not to judge.
