Real Life Rewritten with Angela Renee | Leah Crose, Singer-Songwriter: "Chasing Dreams"Ten years ago, Leah Crose left Ohio for Nashville with a Craigslist roommate and no safety net. Today she's a working singer-songwriter with a new single out — and some honest things to say about what chasing a dream actually costs. In this episode, Leah sits down with host Angela Renee for a real conversation about the parts of the music business nobody posts about. She talks about playing the honky-tonks on Lower Broadway and why, after years of sharpening her craft there, she's come to see it as a nine-to-five. She opens up about the rock band that was snowballing right up until COVID ended it, the pressure Nashville puts on new artists to write constantly, and the advice that finally let her stop grinding and start writing better songs. She also shares the story behind her new single "The Driver" — written for Quinn, her best friend of more than twenty years — and the prank she pulled to play it for her the first time.
