What does it mean to go after God? It means to base your life on the faith you have in God and his ability. We should never think to get jobs, rather we should think to create jobs. It’s when you learn, that you make progress. Your life should carry value because God called us to excel in the “world”, not just the “church world”. You have to be passionate about excelling, not just in one area but also in every area that God has called you. The point of your focus is to build skill rather than going after money alone. We need to excel in whatever we are called to do. What tells you that you are serving God?- Your decisions. No matter what you are called to do, and are gifted with you are to go through training. Whoever thinks there’s no need for training has reached the end of the road. Invest time, invest money, but whatever you are doing become the best at it.

You and I are by design called to be successful in life. Whatever we are called to do, irrespective of what vocation it is, the ultimate purpose and desire of God is for us to make a mark in that particular area. In every-one of us there is a seed to success, because God never designed his children to be failures.

It is easy to fall prey to societal pressure, but the question to be asked remains, “is it pleasing to God or displeasing to God?” that’s when the favour of God kicks in. Real success is not to go after things, but to go after God. You can never be a success, associating with failures. What does real success mean? Real success is not what other men say about you, rather it’s what God says about you. And the ultimate trait of successful people is, they know exactly what to do.
