In this 73rd episode, I discuss "What Is Hazardous Material AKA "HazMat?"

Hazardous Material also known as "HazMat" is defined as any biological, chemical, radiological, or physical substances that pose an unreasonable risk to health, safety, property, or the environment. Hazardous Materials are of particular concern during storage, handling and/or transport.

For fast identification of Hazardous Materials, special labels are required that quickly and easily give an indication of what type of Hazardous Material is being dealt with and the typical dangerous associated with it. These label "classify" the Hazardous Material into Nine Hazard Classes (1-9). Additionally, Hazardous Materials should also be accompanied by "SDS;" (Safety Data Sheets). The "SDS" precisely identifies the Hazardous Material and provides a lot more details on the hazards associated with the it and the additional safety precautions that should be taken when dealing with the particular Hazardous Material.
